The obvious question
Why not add ApoB and Lp(a) to every scan?
Because a family history decides who needs them, and a result needs a doctor after it.
Both tests on every panel raise the cost of every scan, for clients who don’t need them.
Afterscan books them only where the four answers call for them.
- An independent review, updated September 2026, found no published evidence that scanning people without symptoms helps them live longer.
- Afterscan sells no test package. It never competes with your scan.
- A measured Lp(a) next to a family history is something a GP can act on.
